On the afternoon of October 17th, the selection of “Smart Craftsman” and the voting of “Leading Pioneer” of Shanghai Smart City Construction 2019 convened the first organizing committee meeting. Lu Xiaochun, Secretary of CPC Shanghai Municipal Working Committee of Economy and Informatization and Chairman of the Organizing Committee, presided over the meeting. Zhou Qi, Vice Chairman of Shanghai Municipal Federation of Trade Unions and Deputy Chairman of the Organizing Committee, attended the event and delivered a speech. Zhang Ying, Vice Chairman of Shanghai Municipal Commission of Economy and Informatization, Wang Yu, Deputy Inspector of Shanghai Municipal Commission of Economy and Informatization and Director of Shanghai Municipal Commission of Economy and Informatization Trade Union, and other leaders and members of the Organizing Committee were present, along with relevant staff of the Event Supervision Team and the Organizing Committee Office.
After listening to Phase 1 work report and the competition plan of each division, Mr. Lu pointed out that this year's event fully summed up the practices and experience of the previous three years, set up various events and got strong supports from all parties. The number of applicants has reached a new high, and the brand influence of the event has been further enhanced. In the next step, we must coordinate the work of the divisions. The awards shall be combined with the celebration of the 70th anniversary of the founding of the People's Republic, the development of Smart City and the spirit of craftsmanship and leadership, reflecting the characteristics of the times and system characteristics.
Mr. Zhou highlighted that it is the fourth year of the selection of “Smart Craftsman” and the voting of “Leading Pioneer” of Shanghai Smart City Construction. The event shall further serve the development needs of the times and accelerate the construction of the science and technology center to stimulate the innovation vitality of the staff and the public. It shall further develop the advanced role of craftsmen, combine it with the spirit of model workers, and tap the shining points of the workers in the Commission. It shall also further increase the communications, combine it with the branded events and dig the stories behind the events and players.
Ms. Zhang pointed out that this year's event focused on the work of the Smart City Center. It started early and showed high quality. She hoped that it would further focus on the players and provide multi-channel support.
It is reported that this year's event has already registered 747 players, an increase of 10% over last year, creating a new high in all previous events. The number of applicants in various divisions all exceeded the previous years.
The meeting listened to the "Program of the Selection of ‘Smart Craftsman’ and the voting of ‘Leading Pioneer’ of Shanghai Smart City Construction 2019" and conducted a research discussion on the next stage of the event.
