2019 Intelligent Technology and Industry Forum for International Cooperation was successfully held during the second China International Import Expo (CIIE) on November 6th. The Forum was hosted by the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology (MIIT) and undertook by Chinese Institute of Electronics. As one of the seven high-end series of supporting activities of the second CIIE, the theme of this Forum was "jointly create intelligent ecosystem and share the new era of intelligence". More than 400 government representatives, researchers, industry elites and enterprise executives from 17 countries attended the Forum.
Wang Zhijun, Member of CPC Group and Vice Minister of MIIT, put forward three suggestions: First, it is important to build a new open ecosystem. Continue to develop new technologies, products and formats to provide a strong driving force for the sustainable development of the intelligent industry. Second, it is necessary to find a new path of international cooperation. Deeply integrate into the global intelligent industry innovation system, promote exchanges and cooperation in technology research and development, standard setting and achievement transformation. Promote resource integration, technology integration, project combination and talent aggregation, and jointly explore the innovation path of international cooperation. And third, it is advisable to build a new pattern of industrial development. Aiming at the industrial demand and gathering industrial resources, it is wise to support leading enterprises at home and abroad to form an industry-university-research-application union with universities and institutes of science and technology, and constantly improve the new industrial development pattern with enterprises and market.
Wu Qing, Member of the Standing Committee of CPC Municipal Committee and Vice Mayor of Shanghai, pointed out in his speech that at present, a new generation of artificial intelligence is booming around the world, which has injected new energy into the economic and social development, and also profoundly changed people's production and lifestyle. With a more open mind, more dynamic innovation and more inclusive ecology, Shanghai will further improve artificial intelligence, accelerate the upgrading and application empowerment of the artificial intelligence industry, better serve the overall situation of national artificial intelligence development, and work with the global scientific, technological and industrial communities to promote development, protect security, share achievements, use the collision of wisdom and blueprint of science and technology for a win-win outcome.
Matthew Margulies, Vice President of US-China Trade National Committee, announced the Cooperation Initiative at the meeting. He expressed that the US business community attaches great importance to CIIE as it has become an important place to connect the world's leading product and service companies with buyers from the world's largest commercial and consumer market. The technology supply chain between US and China is interdependent, so it is important to resist any idea of separating the two countries. It is hoped that the United States and China will continue to work together to find solutions to today's challenges.US-China Trade National Committee will always work with the Chinese and U.S. governments to create a fair competition environment for the enterprises of the two countries and promote the healthy development of China-US business relations.
Xu Xiaolan, Vice President and Secretary General of Chinese Institute of Electronics and President of China Industrial Internet Research Institute, expressed that China is willing to work with the global scientific and technological community, including the US business community, to make all parties become closer, to promote economic globalization towards a more open, inclusive, inclusive, balanced and win-win direction, and to make economic globalization better benefit people all over the world.
As one of the seven high-end series of supporting activities of the second China International Import Expo, the Forum focuses on international cooperation in intelligent technology, comprehensively promotes a new round of high-level opening up, concentrates on intelligent technology innovation and industrial change, and creates a high-end and cooperation platform with international influence.
