In order to accelerate the innovation and development of the graphene industry in Shanghai, on the afternoon of October 29th, Dong Yunhu, Chairman of CPPCC Municipal Committee, visited Shanghai Graphene R&D and Commercialization Platform for research, and discussed on the innovation and development of the graphene industry. Relevant leaders were present, including Jin Xingming, Vice Chairman of CPPCC Municipal Committee, Xu Jianming, Director of the Economic Committee of the CPPCC Municipal Committee, Liu Yan, Secretary of CPC Committee of the Science and Technology Commission of Shanghai Municipality, Wang Hong, Secretary of CPC Baoshan District Committee, Fan Shaojun, Governor of Baoshan District, Ding Daheng, Chairman of CPPCC Regional Committee, and Lu Ming, Vice Chairman of Shanghai Municipal Commission of Economy and Informatization.
Mr. Dong visited Shanghai Shenhe Thermomagnetic Electronics Co., Ltd. and the exhibition hall of Graphene R&D and Commercialization Platform. At the symposium, Shanghai Municipal Commission of Economy and Informatization, the Municipal Science and Technology Commission and Baoshan District reported in detail the development of the graphene industry, policy measures and suggestions.
Mr. Dong expressed in his speech that Baoshan has formed a good foundation and significant advantages in graphene research innovation and industrial development. It is important to improve the original innovation ability and create the source of graphene technology innovation as well as an industrial cluster. What's more, it is wise to seize the great opportunity for the Yangtze River Delta integration to become a national strategy, promote the coordinated development of the new material industry, and strive to create a highland for graphene scientific and technological innovation and industrial development in the Yangtze River Delta. In the next step, under the leadership of the Municipal Economic and Information Commission, the municipal and district authorities will further study to expand the graphene industry and create an industrial ecosystem of the whole industrial chain. Mr. Dong expressed that he will visit more new material enterprises and institutions to understand the common issues, and work with everyone to promote the formation of a good situation in Shanghai's new material industry. The CPPCC Municipal Committee will also give full play to the role of special consultation institutions, conduct in-depth research and practical supervision, promote the development of new material industry, implement policies and measures, and make positive contributions to the development of Shanghai’s new material industry and the brand of "Made in Shanghai".
Mr. Jin expressed that Baoshan’s graphene industry has become famous in China. The achievements and display of the graphene platform are also excellent. He pointed out that it is a must to further strengthen the basic research, engineering research and high-end application research of graphene. The basically mature technology should be widely adopted in enterprises, the industrialization road should be strengthened, and the technology should be improved through continuous application.
Mr. Lu introduced the positive progress in high temperature superconductivity, ceramic aluminum materials and carbon fiber industrialization. In terms of the layout and promotion of graphene industry, Shanghai Municipal Commission of Economy and Informatization, together with the Science and Technology Commission and Baoshan government, will actively supported the high-end application research, development and industrialization of graphene through the construction of graphene R & D and transformation functional platform, the construction of "four new bases" of graphene at Baoshan Urban Industrial Park and special support policies. The Commission will continue to work with the Municipal Science and Technology Commission and the district government to actively promote the close linkage between graphene and the downstream application industry, and support the rapid breakthrough of graphene high-end application products.
