2019 Caohejing Scientific Innovative Carnival was opened in Shanghai

      On the morning of August 4th, the fourth quarter of 2019 Caohejing Scientific Innovative Carnival was officially opened with the theme of "5G driving force enables a new future". Chen Mingbo, Deputy Secretary-General of Municipal Government, was present at the opening ceremony and launched the Carnival. Zhang Jianming, Vice Chairman of Shanghai Municipal Commission of Economy and Informatization, addressed for the opening ceremony.

      Mr. Zhang pointed out in his speech that Caohejing Development Zone is an established brand in Shanghai, and also an important bearing area for the construction of Shanghai Brand Park and Science Creation Center. The Carnival focused on 5G, artificial intelligence, Internet of Things and other frontier industries and applications, which will help Caohejing Development Zone to become a new industry leading area with forward-looking, innovative and sustainable development. As the commanding heights of the current scientific and technological competition, 5G will give new momentum to economic growth. Shanghai is building 5G network construction pioneer area, innovative application demonstration area, industrial chain enterprise agglomeration area, and focusing on "double Gigabit broadband city" brand. Both 5G and AI are important driving forces for the new round of technological and industrial changes, and their integration will further help Shanghai implement its national strategy of "three major tasks and one platform". In the future, Shanghai will join hands with other industries to build an ecological system integrating 5G and AI, which will promote the deep application and industrial development of 5G and AI in Shanghai.

      The carnival created a comprehensive display of innovative ecological system with new technology, new models, new industries and new carriers. Representatives from government, domestic and foreign academic circles, industry, investment circles and entrepreneurship service organizations gathered in the park to talk about the international innovation ecology, explore the potential innovation force, optimize the business environment of the park, and share the latest scientific and technological achievements. The carnival was jointly guided by the Ministry of Commerce, the Ministry of Science and Technology, National Intellectual Property Administration, Shanghai Municipal Commission of Economy and Informatization, Shanghai Municipal Commission of Commerce, Xuhui District Government, Minhang District Government, Qingpu District Government and Shanghai Lingang Group, and is coordinated by Shanghai Caohejing High-tech Park and Jie Fang Daily.
