On the morning of July 29th, two Commissions held the Commission mobilization meeting for 2019 World Artificial Intelligence Conference. Lu Xiaochun, Secretary of CPC Shanghai Municipal Working Committee of Economy and Informatization, and Wu Jincheng, Chairman of Shanghai Municipal Commission of Economy and Informatization, were present and made speeches. Ma Liejijan, Deputy Secretary of CPC Shanghai Municipal Working Committee of Economy and Informatization, presided over the meeting. Zhang Ying, Vice Chairman of Shanghai Municipal Commission of Economy and Informatization, introduced the general preparations for the Conference.
Mr. Lu pointed out in his speech that it is important for the whole Commission to resolutely implement the relevant work deployment of the Municipal Committee, the guiding spirit of the principal leaders of the Municipal Committee and the Municipal Government, rally consensus, form joint efforts and devote all our efforts to the preparatory and implementation stages of the Conference to ensure that the event achieves its desired objectives. He put forward three requirements for cadres of the Commission: First, it is quite important to maintain a good work style to ensure that the tasks of 2019 World Artificial Intelligence Conference can be smoothly carried forward. Second, it is necessary to make every effort to run the Conference well. It is a must to devote ourselves to all kinds of work with a highly unified ideology and actions, be responsible for our jobs, and make preparations in an attitude of excellence. And third, it is wise to seize the opportunity to promote industrial development and team building. Combine the preparatory conference with thematic education, the industrial development, and the training of training cadres. It is advisable to fully demonstrate the image of the cadres of the Commission System and make new and greater contributions to the running of the 2019 World Artificial Intelligence Conference, as well as the industry and informationization work.
Mr. Wu made three requests for the success of the Conference: First, improve the position and enhance the sense of urgency and responsibility in the preparatory work. And third, it is necessary to ensure the execution and influence of the preparatory work. Be brave to take the responsibilities and focus on the effectiveness of the work to ensure the effect of the Conference.
