The Commission leaders celebrated "July 1st" with retired comrades of the Commission system

    On July 1st, Wu Jincheng,Chairman of Shanghai Municipal Commission of Economy and Informatization, Ma Liejian, Deputy Secretary of CPC Shanghai Municipal Working Committee of Economy and Informatization, and retired comrades of the Commission system, celebrated together the 98th anniversary of the founding of the Communist Party of China. About 30 retired cadres including Gong Zhaoyuan, a 101-year-old retired cadre, were present.

 

    Mr. Wu expressed his festival greetings to the old comrades and briefed them on the current situation of Shanghai's industrial economic development, key areas and progress of major projects. He also expressed that since this year, facing the changeable external environment, the task of steady growth in Shanghai is very touch, and the pressure of transformation and development of traditional industries is even greater.The Commission will firmly implement the deployment of the Municipal Committee and the Municipal Government, build up confidence, respond positively, strive to overcome difficulties and accelerate transformation and upgrading. What's more, it is important to take up "Three New Major Tasks", promote the construction of Key Industrial Projects as a whole, and focus on the key areas like integrated circuits, artificial intelligence, and biomedicine. On the other side, it is quite necessary to focus on steady growth, innovation, integration, strong overall planning and excellent system, speed up industrial upgrading, efficiency enhancement and innovation transformation development, so as to foster innovative economy, stimulate transformation momentum and promote stable and high-quality development of the industrial economy.It is hoped that the retired comrades will continue to contribute their experience and wisdom to the development of the industrial economy and the information technology in Shanghai.

 

    Retired comrades, including Meng Qingling, Xu Zhiyi, Fu Weiguo, Chen Songquan, and He Shouchang, made speeches.
