The Commission will take the lead in coordinating Jiangsu Provincial Department of Industry and Information Technology, Zhejiang Provincial Office of Economy and Informatization and Anhui Provincial Office of Economy and Informatization, focusing on the promotion of sophisticated automatic driving functions for connected vehicles to scale up the applications in specific scenarios and accelerate the construction of the comprehensive demonstration and application system as well as new integration and development of the industry in the Yangtze River Delta. Three provinces and one municipality will cooperate in the following areas: To jointly build an integrated testing, certification and demonstration system of connected vehicles; to jointly develop the new-generation infrastructure of connected vehicles; to jointly develop the standards for the development of the connected automobile industry; and to jointly structure a pilot demonstration zone for connected vehicles.
At the meeting, Shanghai Connected Automotive Manufacturing Innovation Center, Jiangsu Connected Automotive Industry Innovation Alliance, the Key Laboratory of Connected Vehicle Driving Test and Evaluation of the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology (Zhejiang Center) and Anhui Connected Electric Vehicle Innovation Center signed the Strategic Partnership Agreement of Connected Vehicle Integration in the Yangtze River Delta. All parties will play a leading role in the road test, demonstration and implement of connected vehicles, set up a Connected Vehicle Development and Innovation Alliance in the Yangtze River Delta, build up a cooperation and exchanges platform in the region and drive the integration of the connected automobile industry.
