On the morning of May 7th, Fu Xinhua, Vice Chairman of Shanghai Municipal Commission of Economy and Informatization, visited Zhuqiao Aviation Industry Park at Pudong for research. The team also held a work promotion meeting on the Launch Ceremony of Aviation Industry Park, the surrounding facilities and overall planning of the park, and the introduction of industrial chain projects.
Mr. Fu pointed out that it is important to base on Shanghai and build an aviation industry chain with high added value and high supporting efficiency. In order to meet the demand for a supply chain of ARJ21 and C919 aircrafts after mass production, the overall layout and planning of Phase II of the Aviation Industry Park should be started as soon as possible on the basis of the development of the first 2 square kilometers of the Aviation Industry Park and the recruitment of potential projects. Meanwhile, it is necessary to establish the mechanism of Shanghai Municipal Working Committee of Economy and Informatization, Pudong Science and Economic Commission, Zhuqiao Town, Waigaoqiao Group and Commercial Aircraft Corporation of China to jointly solve the problems of park planning and construction, project investment, as well as peripheral supporting.
At the meeting, the Science and Economic Commission of Pudong New Area and Zhuqiao Town reported on the preparations for the Launch Ceremony of the Aviation Industry Park, the land storage situation and the investment recruitment in the early stage. Commercial Aircraft Corporation of China reported on the park planning and related ideas.
