China Datang Corporation sighed a strategic cooperation agreement with Shanghai Electric Group in Shanghai

On the afternoon of March 25th, China Datang Corporation sighed a strategic cooperation agreement with Shanghai Electric Group in Shanghai. Relevant leaders were present, including Chen Deihu, Chairman of Datang Corporation, Lu Xiaochun, Secretary of CPC Shanghai Municipal Working Committee of Economy and Informatization,and Zhen Jianhua, Chairman of Shanghai Electric Group. Ren Wei, Deputy General Manager of Datang Group and Zhang Ke, Vice President of Shanghai Electric Group, signed the agreement on behalf of both parties. The signing ceremony was presided over by Jin Xiaolong, Vice President of Shanghai Electric Group.  

According to the agreement, the two parties will focus on wind power, clean coal power, gas thermal power, financial and international cooperation, environmental protection, technological innovation, operation and maintenance services and spare parts. The two parties will also develop comprehensive and in-depth cooperation in energy investment, energy science and technology innovation, which will achieve complementary advantages, common development, value sharing and sustained growth. The agreement will play an important role in promoting the implementation of the national strategy in Shanghai and accelerating the development of strategic emerging industries like heavy gas turbines, wind power and marine energy.

It is reported that Datang Group, as a national mega power generation enterprise, is the main force to implement the national energy strategy. In 2014, Shanghai Municipal Government signed a strategic agreement to expand cooperation with Datang Group in the development of new energy industries, R&D and innovation in science and technology. Shanghai Electric Group is one of the largest comprehensive equipment manufacturing enterprise groups in China and is also an important force to upgrade the real economy of the city.
