The 16th Shanghai International Informatization Fair was held in Shanghai. Wu Qing, Vice Mayor, invited industry experts to the symposium

      On the morning of March 20th, the 16th Shanghai International Informatization Fair was held in Shanghai. Wu Qing, Vice Mayor, invited world-famous industry experts to the symposium to communicate on the trend of information industry and give suggestions. The conference was hosted by Chen Mingbo, Deputy Secretary of CPC Shanghai Municipal Working Committee of Economy and Informatization. Fu Xinhua, Vice Chairman of Shanghai Municipal Commission of Economy and Informatization, introduced the situation of electronic information industry in Shanghai. Leaders of relevant units were present, including Shanghai Municipal Development & Reform Commission, Shanghai Municipal Commission of Commerce, Science and Technology Commission Shanghai Municipality and government of Pudong New Area. Representatives of more than 20 internationally leading electronic information enterprises and emerging enterprises participated in the symposium, including Synopsys technology, Lam Research, Intel Corporation, Tokyo Electron Ltd., HGTECH, and Seer Robotics.

      Mr. Wu thanked entrepreneurs for their contributions to the development of Shanghai's information industry. He expressed that according to the overall national plan, Shanghai is carrying out major strategic tasks: expanding the FTA, establishing science and technology innovation board, and integrating the Yangtze River Delta. The city is also vigorously promoting a new round of information industry development like 5G, artificial intelligence, and intelligent network automobile.It is hoped that entrepreneurs will seize the new opportunities, share strategic advantages and further participate in the development of Shanghai's information industry. Mr. Wu emphasized that the market of Shanghai electronic information industry is over trillion yuan, of which the output value of the electronic information manufacturing industry is 645 billion yuan. The market has a complete industrial chain system and a rich industrial ecology.It is hoped that enterprises in the industry will further strengthen industrial cooperation, and jointly promote industrial prosperity and development.Shanghai will continue to createa good environment for industrial development, strengthen the protection of intellectual property rights, optimize business environment, and attract more international famous electronic information enterprises to Shanghai. 

     Mr. Chen expressed that the electronic information industry is one of the six pillar industries in Shanghai, is the representative of high-end manufacturing industry, and is also an important support for the development of Shanghai's industrial economy.At present, Shanghai is actively promoting the brand of "Made in Shanghai". The electronic information industry is constantly adjusting its structure, upgrading energy level, and striving to promote a new generation of information technology industries like integrated circuits and new displays.It is hoped that relevant entrepreneurs at home and abroad will pay more attention to Shanghai, invest and gather in Shanghai.

     With the theme of "Electronic Information Leading Industrial Revolution", the fair was held in the National Exhibition and Convention Center(Shanghai)and Shanghai New International Expo Center from 19 to 22 March.The Fair is composed of six major professional exhibitions and nearly 100 forum seminars. More than 4500 exhibitors have exhibited an area of 289,000 square meters, an increase of 7% over the same period of last year. It provides a platform for communication among all parties to share the fruits of the development of the information industry.On the first day, 170310 visitors attended the exhibition, reaching a record high.
