Lu Xiaochun, Secretary of CPC Shanghai Municipal Working Committee of Economy and Informatization, went to Sichuan Province and Chongqing for research on the development of manufacturing industry

      Recently, Lu Xiaochun, Secretary of CPC Shanghai Municipal Working Committee of Economy and Informatization, went to Sichuan Province and Chongqing for research on the development of manufacturing industry. The team learned the advanced experiences and practices of Sichuan and Chongqing in promoting intelligent manufacturing, optimizing business environment, and promoting the transformation and upgrading of manufacturing industry.

    The team visited Siemens Industry Automation Products Manufacturing and Development Base in Chengdu, Headquarters of Dongfang Electric Corporation of China (DEC), Dongfang Turbine Co., Ltd. (DTC, a member of DEC), Dongfang Electrict Wind Power Co.,Ltd. (a member of DEC) and Dongfang Electric Machinery Co., Ltd. (DFEM, a member of DEC), China Aerodynamics Research and Development Center (CARDC), BOE Technology Group Co., Ltd., and Chongqing Liangjiang Electronics Co., Ltd. The team communicated with leaders of DEC and Liangjiang New Area Management Committee on enterprise transformation and upgrading and local government's measures in supporting the innovation and development of manufacturing industry.

Mr. Lu introduced the economic and social development in Shanghai. He pointed out that Shanghai is now making every effort to implement the three new major tasks entrusted by General Secretary Xi Jinping. It is also a great task to hold well the important conferences like China International Import Expo, China International Industry Fair and World Artificial Intelligence Conference. He also hoped that the governments and enterprises in Shanghai, Sichuan and Chongqing will strengthen communication, promote cooperation and exchanges, and continue to promote the high-quality development of manufacturing industry.
