On January 21st, the 2nd Congress on the Development of Intelligent and Healthy pension industry, co-sponsored by the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology(MIIT), the Ministry of Civil Affairs and the National Health Commission, was held at the Great Hall of the People in Beijing. Relevant leaders were present and made speeches, including Luo Wen, Deputy Minister of MIIT, Gao Xiaobing, Vice Minister of Ministry of Civil Affairs, and Wang Hesheng, Deputy Director of the State Health and Health Commission.
Mr. Luo pointed out that the development of intelligent and healthy retirement industry provides a powerful scientific and technological support to cope with the aging population, an important consumption engine for expanding the domestic market, and a development opportunity for the transformation and upgrading of the electronic information industry. The demonstration units should grasp "intelligence" and find the main direction: First of all, it is important to develop intelligent products for different people and their needs, break through key technologies, improve practicability, and promote the popularization and application of intelligent products. Second, it is advisable to give full play to the advantages of the internet, further optimize the efficiency of health care services for the elderly and strengthen the supervision of service quality. Third, it is necessary to further strengthen cross-industry cooperation to avoid the phenomenon of "emphasize hardware investment but neglect service guarantee", and let users feel the improvement of health care services brought by information technology. And fourth, it is wise to explore an effective mode of government guidance, multi-dimensional co-construction and market operation to meet the diversified needs for healthy old-age care, to form a sustainable operational capacity, and to explore the establishment of a good business operation mechanism.
Mr. Luo also put forward four opinions on how to do a good job in the development of intelligent and healthy retirement industry with industry and information system. First, it is important to strengthen policy coordination. Second, it is necessary to give full play to the leading role of intelligent and healthy pension demonstration enterprises, streets (townships) and bases, and increase support for the training of demonstration units. Third, it is advisable to promote excellent products and services. The demonstration enterprises should be urged to fulfill their main responsibilities, ensure the quality of their products and services, and increase the publicity and promotion of excellent products and services. Fourth, it is a must to strengthen market cultivation and standardization, create a good environment, strengthen industry cooperation, support the construction of public service platforms and industry organizations, and consolidate the foundation of industrial development.
At the conference, the second batch of pilot units of intelligent and healthy retirement industry were issued. The listed demonstration enterprises, streets (townships) and bases were licensed. Enterprise representatives shared experiences, and discussed on the application of pilot construction, products and service promotion experience.
