On the afternoon of January 2nd, the Expert Consultation Symposium of China International Industry Fair was held in Shanghai.Mr. Rong Zhiqin, Secretary General of the Organizing Committee of China International Industry Fair and Vice Chairman of Shanghai Municipal Commission of Economy and Informatization, attended the event and made a speech. Experts from relevant units were present, including Shanghai Municipal People's Congress, Shanghai Municipal Development & Reform Commission, the Science &Technology Committee of Shanghai, the Information Office of Shanghai Municipal Municipality, the Development Research Center of Shanghai Municipal People's Government, Shanghai Council for the Promotion of International Trade, the Science and Economic Commission of Pudong New Area and Donghao Lansheng Group.
At the meeting, experts communicated on the reform of trade fair system and mechanism, the optimization of theme and exhibition area setting, the introduction of external high-quality resources, the exertion of advantagesand the coordinated development of similar exhibitions.It was suggested that China International Industry Fair should further improve its internationalization, specialization, marketization and branding. According to the spirit of the Sixth Plenary Session of the Eleventh Municipal Committee, the fair should develop its own characteristics, level and international influence.
Rong Zhiqin, Secretary General of Shanghai Municipal Commission of Economy and Informatization, pointed out that it was the first expert consultation symposium of China International Industry Fair. After 20 years of development and innovation, the fair has successfully made a leap from a regional exhibition to large-scale international event, which could not be achieved without the efforts of relevant commissions and units.In the new historical starting point, we will learn from the experience of international well-known exhibitions and experts' suggestions, improve the system and mechanism of the fair, further do a good job in awards, forums, publicity and recruitment, and strive to make trade fairs into industrial exhibitions with the highest standards and the best level in the world.
