On the afternoon of November 3rd, the third meeting of the organizing committee was held for the election of "Smart Craftsmen" and "Leading Pioneers" in Shanghai’s Smart City construction. Lu Xiaochun, Secretary of CPC Shanghai Municipal Working Committee of Economy and Informatization, presided over the meeting. Relevant comrades were present, including Zhou Qi, Vice-Chairman of Municipal Federation of Trade Unions and Vice-Chairman of organizing committee of the activity, Ma Liejian, Deputy Secretary of CPC Shanghai Municipal Working Committee of Economy and Informatization, and the members of organizing committee.
At the meeting, Mr. Lu made requirements on the Award Presentation and Closing Stage of the Event. He stressed that first, it is important to carefully organize the award ceremony, make more preparations in the early stage, further clarify the division of labor, and refine responsibilities. Second, it is necessary to do a good job of the follow-up work to amplify the effect of the activities, dock with the "leading talent" bank, and help the award winners to establish an "innovation studio" to better play the leading role.Third, it is wise to plan activities of the next year innovatively, review and summarize the experience of activities over last three years, keep pace with the times and design various competitions, and strive to attract more practitioners in information technology to participate in the competitions.
Mr. Zhou pointed out that the Event is not only the embodiment of the infinite creativity of employees in Shanghai, but also a platform for giving full play to the pioneers of craftsmen and reflecting the style of our times. It is hoped that the award-winning artisans will not only make achievements in their own fields, but also play a leading role in the industry, and do a good job in promoting the quality of industrial workers in Shanghai.
Ms. Ma pointed out that all efforts should be madein the follow-up work. The award ceremony should be highlighted, focus on the key points, pay attention to the details and link up with each other. In addition, the promotion of excellence should be carried out promptly. It is also necessary to select the best talents. The exchange platform should be carefully planned and built in time, and efforts should be made to create activities that never end all around the year.
According to the arrangement of the organizing committee, the award ceremony for the election and the opening ceremony of 2018 Shanghai Smart City Experience Week will be held on December 6.
