On the afternoon of November 23rd, Chen Mingbo, Chairman of Shanghai Municipal Commission of Economy and Informatization, held a special meeting on implementing the "Three New Major Tasks" entrusted to Shanghai by the Central Committee: Add a new area for Shanghai Free Trade Test Zone, set up a new board and pilot registration system in Shanghai Stock Exchange, and implement the national strategy of integrated development of the Yangtze River Delta. Zhang Jianming and Wu Jincheng, Vice Chairmen of the Commission, attended the meeting.
Mr. Chen pointed out that the "Three New Major Tasks" is an important strategic deployment made by the CPC Central Committee based on the overall situation of reform and opening up. The Municipal Party Committee and municipal government should attach great importance to it. The Commission should seize the opportunity and take the initiative.First, it is important to clear the goal and requirement, re-focus and re-enhance the integration of industry and information technology in the Yangtze River Delta with a higher position, a broader mind and more solid measures. In addition, it is necessary to clarify the responsibilities of the work, vigorously promote the tasks and achieve solid results; Second, it is a must to workin accordance with the highest international standards, strengthen research, broaden horizons and open minds. it is also wise to combine with the working basis of the reform and innovation of free trade zone in recent years, focus on the strategic plan, and play a greater role in policy innovation, the development of new industries as well as the landing of major projects.And third, it is advisable to follow the strategic deployment from central government, actively enhance the awareness of establishing science innovation board and pilot registration system, accelerate the cultivation of high-growth science and technology innovation enterprises, promote strategic emerging industries, serve more innovative enterprises, and make new contributions to the construction of Shanghai International Financial Center as well as Science &Technology Innovation Center.
