On November 10th, the first China International Import Expo(CIIE) ended successfully. More than 3,600 enterprisesfrom172 countries, regions and international organizations attended the Expo and more than 400,000 domestic and foreign buyers discussed procurement.
The tradeduring the expo was fruitful, with a cumulative intended turnover of US$57.83billion per year. Among US$5.78 billion of intended trade, the smart and high-end equipment exhibition area had the highest turnover of US$16.46 billion, followed by food and agricultural products exhibition area with US$12.68 billion, automobile exhibition area with US$11.99 billion, medical equipment and medical care exhibition area with US$5.76 billion, consumer electronics and household appliances exhibition area with US$4.33 billion, clothing and daily goods exhibition area withUS$3.37 billion and service trade exhibition area withUS$3.24 billion. In addition, the total turnover with countries and regions along The Belt and Road (B&R) plan was US$4.72 billion.
During the Expo, the Commission did a good job in the reception work for sub units of central SOEs. First, the Commission established work network security mechanism and communication ways with State-owned Assets Supervision and Administration Commission (SASAC) International Cooperation Bureau, timely understood the requirements for the trading groups from central SOEs and made reception preparations. What's more, the Commission also established a communication mechanism with 98 central SOEsheadquarters and set up a reception network for the expo. Second, the Commission preparedcarefully and did well in the work of transportation and accommodation. The Commission confirmed working vehicles, coordinated relevant units to handle vehicle passes and bus parking permits, effectively solved the travel problems of the trading group. In addition, the Commission helped all the central SOEs to do the booking work for the guests.Third, the Commission organized and ensured the reception of the central SOEs in Shanghai. In Hongqiao Airport, Pudong Airport and Hongqiao High-speed Railway Station, the Commission offered reception and support of the leadership groups from the central SOEs. Last but not least, the Commission established response mechanism with relevant departments to resolve the emergency problems encountered by central SOEs during the expo, which ensured the smooth completion of the trading between central SOEs.
