On the afternoon of November 9th, Chen Mingbo, Chairman of Shanghai Municipal Commission of Economy and Informatization, and Zhang Jianming, Vice Chairman, attended China International Import Expo (CIIE) and made research on advanced manufacturing industry.
During the research, the team visited relevant companies, including Hurco Group, Fanuc Corporation, Fair Friend Group, General Electric Company, Aeromobil, General Motors Corporation and Tesla. The team understood the advanced manufacturing technology and platform of these enterprises, as well as their development and future plans in China. Mr. Chen pointed out that China International Import Expo gathers thousands of leading international manufacturers to display the latest technologies and products, which is a rare opportunity for the brand of "Made in Shanghai" to further expand its international vision as well as find the next development direction.It is important to give full play to the platform,focus on the brand of "Made in Shanghai", and do a good job in the next step from three aspects. First of all, it is important to make full use of the window functions of the expo, grasp the trend of international manufacturing industry, draw on advanced experience and successful models, firmly grasp the direction of scientific and technological progress, enrich development models, and provide information support for the innovative development of Shanghai manufacturing. Second, it is necessary to give full play to the spillover effect of the expo. We should pay more attention to these important exhibitors, actively understand the development plans of relevant enterprises in China, strengthen the bilateral relations between government and enterprises as well as the overall planning of municipal industry, timely help relevant enterprises to do well in landing services, and inject power source for the brand of "Made in Shanghai". Third, it is advisable to learn from the expo, summarize the successful ways as a good model for the next important industry activities such as China International Industry Fair (CIIF)and World Artificial Intelligence Conference, which make clear the direction of preparation work for the related exhibitions.
