The Yangtze DeltaAlliance ofFashion Industry was established in Shanghai

       On September 14th, the First Yangtze River Delta Fashion Industry Forum was held in Shanghai. The Yangtze Delta Alliance of Fashion Industry was formally launched. Lu Xiaochun, Secretary of CPC Shanghai Municipal Working Committee of Economy and Informatization, was present and made a speech. At the meeting, the research and development of "2018 Global Fashion Industry Index &Fashion Week Vitality Index" also started simultaneously. 

       Relevant leaders officially launched the Alliance, includingWang Tiankai, former Chairman of ChinaNational Textile and Apparel Council,Chen Mingbo, Chairman of Shanghai Municipal Commission of Economy and Informatization, Liu Min, Deputy Director of Shanghai Municipal Commission of Commerce, Huang Jianping, Deputy Director of Shanghai Municipal People's Government Cooperation and Exchange Office, Yang Jizhao, Vice Chairman of China Textile Economic Information Federation, Tong Jisheng, Party Secretary and Chairman of Orient International (Holding) Co., Ltd.(Orient International Holding), and Xi Shiping, Chairman of China Textile Economic Information Federation.

       Mr. Chen pointed out that it is important to focus on the construction of a world-class industrial cluster and win-win cooperation of fashion industry in the Yangtze Delta area. It is necessary to use the industrial layout to improve the quality of integration and built anindustrial community with complementary functions in resource allocation, talent exchange, and laborcoordination.What's more, it is advisable to use platform services to promote market expansion, give full play to the role of the fashion industry alliance in the Yangtze River Delta, and help the city to link up and develop the economy of the alliance.Last but not least, it is wise to optimize the business environment by synergistic innovation, and further create a better industrial ecology in industrial policy, investment and financing, publicity and promotion.

       The Yangtze Delta Alliance of Fashion Industryis sponsored by Shanghai Textile Association and Orient International (Holding) Co., Ltd. More than 40 textile and garment associations, chambers of commerce, well-known enterprises, industrial clusters and universities in Jiangsu, Zhejiang and Anhui provinces have responded and participated actively. The alliance will focus on the textile and garment industry development, fashion culture, and urban development.By strengthening regional linkage, the alliance will become the service hub of the government, enterprises, various industries and institutions, and carry out business docking and industrial upgrading services.

       According to the "2017 Global Fashion Industry Index &Fashion Week VitalityIndex", Paris, Milan, New York and London are in the top four, forming the first echelon, while Shanghai Fashion Week ranks sixth in the world and second in Asia.In addition, more than 60% of the exhibitors of Shanghai Fashion Week come from the Yangtze River Delta region, where the consumption has maintained a rapid growth in three years. It is obvious that Shanghai Fashion Week has greatly promoted the fashion industry in the Yangtze River Delta.At present, the "Global Fashion Industry Index" has become an important international index to evaluate the vitality of fashion weeks. It is also a good way to show the world the fashion culture in China's vision and become an important "booster" for the rational allocation of global fashion resources and the collision of East-West fashion culture exchanges.
