On September 25th, Lou Zhiqiang, Vice Chairman of Shanghai Municipal Commission of Economy and Informatization, visited Shanghai University of Engineering Science for research on the development of scientific research in the institution.
Li Jiang, Party Secretary of Shanghai University of Engineering Science, introduced the scientific research and development platform in the university, and a series of measures taken by the school in developing into a modern university. Wang Yansong, Vice President of the university, introduced the development of academic research and the implementation of the strategies of "three synergies" and "go out of the campus to promote development". Mr. Lou and his team visited the College of Fashion Design, Aviation Portage College and Laboratory for Mechanical and Automotive Engineering College.
Mr. Lou affirmed the achievements made by Shanghai University of Engineering Science in local economic construction in recent years. He expressed that Shanghai University of Engineering Science bases on the reality of Shanghai and continues to innovate in science and technology. At the same time, from the overall layout of the national strategy, the university promotes the rapid development of applied science and technology research and explores the R&D road of the industry. Wang Yansong, Vice President of the university, expressed that for the next step, it is important to do a good job in linking up universities with local governments, industrial parks and enterprises, promote and implement applied technology, and contribute to the construction of the four centers in Shanghai.
