On August 15th, Lu Xiaochun, Secretary of CPC Shanghai Municipal Working Committee of Economy and Informatization, visited Galaxy Core Inc. for research. The team visited the laboratory and communicated with its leadership and reviewed the design, research and development and testing services of graphics sensor chips.

Mr. Lu affirmed the progress made by GalaxyCore in CMOS image sensors. He also encouraged the enterprise to focus on structural design and process optimization, adhere to independent innovation, further consolidate technological advantages, and strive to become a leading enterprise in the industry. Mr. Lu hoped that the enterprise could strengthen the accumulation of intellectual property rights, gather talents, expand cooperation between upstream and downstream, contribute to the development of high-end manufacturing industry in Shanghai, and enhance the level and core competency of the city. Meanwhile, he asked relevant authorities to pay attention to IC enterprises like GalaxyCore, implement industrial policies, do a good job of supporting services, and create a good environment for the enterprises.

GalaxyCore, founded in 2003, is an integrated circuit design enterpriseof CMOS image sensor, LCD Driver, high-end embedded multimedia SOC chip and application systems. In the design and algorithm of CMOS image sensors and multimedia processors, the enterprise has independent intellectual property rights and world-leading manufacturing processes, being the first to successfully produce mass image sensors in China. What's more, the shipment volume of CMOS image sensor chips and LCD drive chips ranks first in China for many years. The enterprise has also been one of Top 10 IC designers in China by turnover. It has five international patents on the structure and technology of CMOS image sensor, and more than 200 domestic patents. Driven by new products, the chip shipments of GalaxyCore will exceed 1 billion this year.
