The Theme Day of Shanghai Municipal Commission of Economy and Informatization during 2018 Shanghai Food Safety Week was held

       On the afternoon of July 30th, according to the 2018 work plan from the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology of the People's Republic of China (MIIT) and Municipal Food and Drug Safety Commission ,the Theme Day of Shanghai Municipal Commission of Economy and Informatization during 2018 Shanghai Food Safety Week was held. ChenYuehua, Director of the Municipal Brand Office and leader from the Commission, attended the event. 

       From July 17th -31th this year, Shanghai launched a Food Safety Publicity Week in consistency with the entire country. In recent years, the food industry in Shanghai has achieved success in implementing the "Three Points" strategy. First of all, "the three-year action plan for the development of food industry in Shanghai (2018-2020)" will be issued to guide the order development of food industry in the city. Second, Shanghai will train the food industry enterprises above the scale in the whole city for the construction of integrity management system. Now 24 enterprises have obtained the national certification. By the end of this year, 17 high-risk enterprises should have completed the certification management system. What's more, it is important to strengthen communication and cooperation among relevant departments in the city, give full play to the role of districts and counties, and jointly encourage keeping faith. Third, do a good job in food industry policy and food safety work. Fourth, work under the guidance of innovative design, improve product quality and increase product varieties. It is necessary to encourage a number of famous food brands in Shanghai to further enhance the capacity of food safety. 

       Mr. Chen pointed out that the Commission will actively implement the work requirements from MIIT and Commerce and Municipal Food and Drug Safety Commission. Around the "Four Brands" strategy of Shanghai, good results have been achieved in the guidance of the food industry, the construction of the integrity management system, the construction of the quality safety traceability system, and increasing variety, creating brands and raising quality.

       Strengthen top-level design to guide the order development of food industry. The "three-year action plan for the development of Shanghai food industry (2018-2020)"has been formulated and submitted for review. The plan highlights four definitions: clear the proper position of the food industry in consumer goods industry of Shanghai, return to the strategic industrial significance of its livelihood industry; clear development direction and key point, keep high quality development and embody own advantages, which coincide with the city orientation of Shanghai; clear tasks and measures, combined with inheritance and innovation, laying the foundation for the next three year plan and future development; create a favorable environment for the industries, and integrate them into the industrial planning of the government in urban areas.

       Strengthen publicity to promote the integrity construction of food industry enterprises. It is important to enhance the food safety management capacity. What's more, it is necessary to improve the construction mechanism of the relevant departments, districts, committees, associations and enterprises. Last but not least, it is a must to improve the coordination mechanism of interdepartmental work to promote the sharing of information and resources.

       Strengthen the industry service to promote the standardized development of food enterprises. It is important to do a good job of industrial policy of the food industry. In addition, it is advisable to encourage food enterprises to formulate and implement strict standards. What's more, it is necessary to promote technological transformation, carry out information projects, and improve equipment, quality and safety control capabilities. Last but not least, it is wise to strengthen the risk monitoring and food safety evaluation.

       Implement the strategy of "Three Points" to raise the level of food production enterprises. According to the national strategy of "raise quality, increase varieties and create brands", the city plans to take innovative design as the guide, improve the quality and varieties of products, and cultivate a batch of famous international and domestic Shanghai food brands to improve the food safety. It is necessary to guide the consumer goods industry to be personalized, fashion, environmental friendly, intelligent, high quality and branded. What's more, it is important to improve standard level, strengthen quality management and perfect public service. Last but not least, it is advisable to guide enterprises to strengthen brand building, continue to carry out pilot demonstration, improve the public service system of the band, and promote the founding mechanism of band values.
