Shanghai boasts many global emerging high-end industries, including robotics, large aircraft, chip manufacturing, new energy automobile manufacturing and biomedicine. How to further strengthen these high-end industries? Recently, the 34thsession of the Standing Committee of the 15th Shanghai Municipal People's Congress reviewed the research report on the development of high-end industries in Shanghai. It is reported that this is also the third consecutive year that the Standing Committee of Shanghai Municipal People's Congress considered the city's industrial development, in order to capture the pulse of high-end industries, identify the weakness and seek solutions.
2. The joint research of Shanghai and Jinshan District aimed to plan "north-south transformation" and drive the high-quality development of Jinshan’s manufacturing industry (9.3)
On September 3rd, Zhang Hongtao, Chief Engineer of Shanghai Municipal Commission of Economy and Informatization, led a team to Jinshan District for research, and visited Jinshan Industrial Zone, Jinshan Second Industrial Zone, East China Drone Base, Jinshan New Town and other areas to gain an in-depth understanding of the current situation of industrial development at Jinshan. 3. “Maker in China” 2021 Shanghai Final was held (9.13)
On September 9th, the final round of "Maker in China" 2021 Shanghai SME Innovation and Entrepreneurship Competition was held at Zhangjiang. Rong Zhiqin, Vice Chairman of Shanghai Municipal Commission of Economy and Informatization, and Peng Song, Executive Deputy Director of Shanghai Office of Promoting Science and Technology Innovation Center, attended the event and delivered speeches.
4. Driving New Life for the Future: Shanghai International Biomedical Industry Week 2021 held a press conference (9.18)
On the morning of September 18th, Shanghai International Biomedical Industry Week 2021 held a press briefing in Shanghai. Liu Ping, Vice Chairman of Shanghai Municipal Commission of Economy and Informatization, attended the event and introduced the background of the Industry Week. The Biomedical Industry Department of Shanghai Municipal Commission of Economy and Informatization introduced the opening ceremony and the arrangements of the concurrent activities, and representatives of the organizers of the concurrent activities participated in the briefing and answered questions from reporters.
5. Shanghai International Biomedical Industry Week will be held from October 11th to 14th (9.23)
In order to strengthen domestic and international exchanges, accelerate the effective integration of innovation, industry and capital, and promote the high-end, intelligent and international development of Shanghai's biopharmaceutical industry, Shanghai International Biopharmaceutical Industry Week 2021 will be held from October 11th to 14th.
The theme of the Industry Week is "Driving New Life for the Future", and leaders from the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology, State Drug Administration, State Medical Insurance Bureau and Shanghai Municipal Government will be invited to attend the opening ceremony and deliver speeches. Meanwhile, top scientists with international influence, including Nobel Prize laureates, and fellows of the two academies will deliver keynote speeches and offer advices for the construction of Shanghai's biomedical innovation highland.
6. Cummins, one of Fortune 500, landed at Lingang (9.30)
On September 29th, Shanghai Free Trade Zone Lingang New Area Administrative Committee and Cummins (China) Investment Co. Ltd. signed an investment agreement to jointly facilitate Cummins Hydrogen China Headquarters to settle at Lingang. It is the first "Fortune 500" headquarters project integrating R&D, manufacturing, trade and supply chain in the New Area, and will build the "double headquarters" of Cummins Hydrogen China and Hydrogen China R&D Center, as well as the manufacturing base, which is planned to realize the output value of RMB10 billion.
Zhu Zhisong, Member of the Standing Committee of CPC Shanghai Municipal Committee, Secretary of CPC Pudong New Area District Committee, Secretary of the Party Working Committee and, Director of the Management Committee of Lingang New Area, attended the signing ceremony.
