The Information Session of the Biomedicine Zone at the Medical Devices and Healthcare Exhibition Area in the 4th China International Import Expo (CIIE) was held at the National Convention and Exhibition Center (Shanghai), announcing the launch of a new Biomedicine Zone in the 4th CIIE to further focus on key industries for China’s development.
2.Shanghai Lingang New Area Financing Guarantee Co., Ltd. was unveiled
On March 11th, Shanghai Lingang New Area Financing Guarantee Co., Ltd. was unveiled and entered comprehensive strategic cooperation with 17 commercial banks that have landed at Lingang New Area of Shanghai Free Trade Zone. 3. The COVID-19 neutralizing antibody invented in Shanghai was recognized by the European Union and authorized for emergency use in the United States and Italy
Lilly Pharmaceuticals, a global partner of Shanghai Junshi Biosciences Co., Ltd. Based in Shanghai, recently announced that the Human Drugs Committee of the European Drug Administration has issued positive scientific opinions on the double antibody therapy of etesevimab and bamlanivimab, suggesting that this therapy should be used to treat confirmed COVID-19 patients aged 12 and above who do not need auxiliary oxygen supply but with severe risk of progression. This means that the COVID-19 neutralizing antibody invented in Shanghai was recognized in the EU.
4. The Shanghai-Guangdong and Shanghai-Shenzhen cooperation greets greater potentials and opportunities: Li Qiang held a discussion with Li Xi and Ma Xingrui

5. Shanghai Private Economy Science and Technology Innovation Headquarters Park Unveiled
On March 28th, Shanghai Federation of Industry and Commerce signed a strategic cooperation framework agreement with Jiading District Government, and Shanghai Private Economy Science and Technology Innovation Headquarters Park was unveiled at Jiading New Town.
Covering an area of about 6.77 square kilometers, Shanghai Private Economy Science and Technology Innovation Headquarters Park is planned to consist of three zones, namely Lakeside Ecological High-end Cultural Industry Zone, Core R&D and Business Headquarters Cluster Zone and Rail-side Future Intelligent Industry Zone. It aims to form a science and technology ecosystem with private science and technology corporate headquarters as the leaders and related industrial chain enterprises developing together, enhance the development level of enterprises and play an exemplary role in promoting the agglomeration and development of private economic headquarters in Shanghai.
