1. Li Qiang hosted a seminar with enterprises: Capturing opportunities in great changes and transformation (3.12)
On the afternoon of March 11th, Li Qiang, Secretary of CPC Municipal Committee, hosted a seminar with enterprises to thoroughly explore the impact of COVID-19 on enterprises and industries, by listening to the opinions and suggestions ofleaders from some state-owned enterprises, private enterprises and foreign-funded enterprises in Shanghai regarding the implementation of epidemic prevention and control and the resumption of work and production. Mr. Li also thanked their active contribution to fight COVID-19. He pointed out that it is important to resolutely implement the spirit of the important speech of General Secretary Xi Jinping, strengthen confidence, overcome difficulties and strive to support enterprises to navigate difficulties and win opportunities with more efficient and accurate services, more optimized innovation ecosystem and more favorable policies. It is hoped that all kinds of enterprises will find opportunities in hard times, practice their internal skills, actively deploy new business models and make greater contributions to both striving for epidemic prevention and control and achieving economic and social development goals.
2. The themed seminar on the construction of university science and technology parks was held to comprehensively enhance energy level and core competency (3.13)
On the afternoon of March 12th, Liao Guoxun, Deputy Secretary of CPCMunicipal Committee, chaired a special seminar on the construction of university science and technology parks, emphasizing the in-depth implementation of the spirit of the important speech of General Secretary Xi Jinping during his inspection in Shanghai, in order to comprehensively improve the energy level and core competency of university science and technology parks and make greater contributions to serving the national strategy and the development of the city. At the event, leaders from Tongji University, Shanghai University of Technology, Yangpu District, Shanghai Municipal Science and Technology Commission and Shanghai Municipal Education Commission made speeches. The participants exchanged ideas on strengthening the construction of university science and technology parks and promoting collaborative innovation of industry, universities and research institutes.
3. Moving forward to the spring: 2020 Industrial Internet "Spring Action" benefittedover 10,000 industry professionals (3.18)
From March 12th to 16th, 2020 Industrial Internet "Spring Action" was successfully held in Shanghai through live streaming. 24 experts and representativesfrom government, industry, academia, research, enterprises and investment organizations gathered at the cloud to discuss the challenges and opportunities of the industrial Internet and the industrial economy after COVID-19. More than 10,000 industrial professionals participated the online discussion.
4. 100% of the enterprises above designated sizein Shanghai's six industrial parks have resumed production (3.19)
Industrial parksare the core carrier for the clustering and development of enterprises in Shanghai as well as the main position to promote the resumption of production and work. Shanghai hastaken a number of measures to help the park enterprises solve the common problems such as the difficultiesin relation to epidemic prevention supplies, returning employees, supply chain and working capital. The latest statistics from Shanghai Municipal Commission of Economy and Informatization shows that the national and municipal industrial parks in Shanghai have an overall resumption rate of about 95%, and close to 100% in enterprises above designated size. Among them, Minhang Development Zone, Shanghai Chemical Industry Zone, Zhangjiang Science City, Jinqiao Development Zone, Caohejing Development Zone, Shibei High-tech Zone and other parks feature 100% resumption rate.
5. Shanghai Manufacturing Innovation Center Seminar and 2020 Work Promotion Meeting was Held (3.30)
On the morning of March 26th, Shanghai Municipal Commission of Economy and Informatizationand Shanghai Municipal Economy and Information Development Research Center organized "Shanghai Manufacturing Innovation Center Seminar and 2020 Work Promotion Meeting".
At the meeting, Shanghai Municipal Economy and Information Development Research Center reported the evaluation results of four municipal manufacturing innovation centers in 2019 and analyzed the achievements and existing problems of each innovation center. Each municipal manufacturing innovation center shared the development of special epidemic prevention work, orderly resumption of production, progress of innovation center construction, promotion of industrialization, integrated layout of the Yangtze River Delta, collaborative innovation of industry, universities and research institutes and work plan in 2020.
