China's first grid UPS robots unveiled

Shanghai launched the first ubiquitous electric IoT lab (4.8)

Recently, on the site of the Electronic IoT IntelliSense Lab, two yellow robots skillfully held the red levers and performed a number of complicated processes, including accurately stripping and connecting the wires. It turned out that they were the first UPS robots developed by the Power Grid Shanghai and its manufacturing partners after six months, which are capable of inspection and operation. It is reported that the robots is scheduled to start trial operation in June and put into production in September.

 

SAIC held a press briefing on new energy vehicles and "trade-in" policy recently

On the morning of April 10th, SAIC held a press briefing on new energy vehicles and “trade-in” policy. Shi Wenjun, Associate Counsel of Shanghai Municipal Commission of Economy and Informatization, attended the event and introduced the overall development of new energy vehicles and the information on “trade-in”. Wang Xiaoqiu, Vice President of SAIC Group, presented SAIC's progress in promoting innovation and transformation and speeding up the development of new energy vehicles and “trade-in” offers.

 

Shanghai Auto Show opened and launched the “Future Travel Zone” to showcase the future trends of new technologies(4.16)

The biennial Shanghai Auto Show kicked off today. The reporter learned from the organizers of Shanghai Auto Show 2019 that this year, it attracted more than 1,000 domestic and foreign exhibitors from 20 countries and regions, with a total exhibition area of more than 360,000 square meters, covering all 12 indoor pavilions at the National Convention and Exhibition Centre. 

With the commencement of Tesla’s Gigafactory in Shanghai, the New Power represented by Tesla will be one of the highlights at the Auto Show. It is reported that Tesla's latest model will be released in Asia at the Shanghai Auto Show, which is expected to be localized after the completion of Tesla’s Gigafactory in Shanghai.

 

The world's first district 5G network built and trialed at Hongkou

On March 30th, the first 5G mobile call in Shanghai was made at Hongkou District, where the world's first district 5G network was also built and trialed.

At present, Hongkou District has completed 279 5G base stations, becoming the world's first district with Gigabit coverage of fixed and mobile broadband networks. It will create an integrated 5G demo zone. It is reported that Hongkou District will continue to work with operators and strive to complete the full coverage of 5G base stations by the end of this year. As to 5G applications, it will increase exploration and innovation in the fields of smart healthcare, smart education, smart buildings, smart sports, smart communities, drone patrol, urban security, urban management, financial services, and cultural, creativity and sports.

 

Shanghai International Energy Conservation and Low Carbon Forum during the 7th Shanghai Fair was successfully concluded

On April 20th, Shanghai Energy Conservation and Low Carbon Forum during the 7thShanghai Fair, jointly organized by Shanghai Energy Efficiency Center, Shanghai Energy Conservation Association, Shanghai Energy Internet Innovation Alliance and Chongming Low Carbon Research Center, was successfully concluded at Shanghai World Expo Exhibition and Convention Center.

 

PNP settled its regional headquarters in Zhangjiang

       Plug and Play (PNP), one of the most prestigious startup incubators in Silicon Valley, announced that its regional headquarters in China's Yangtze River Delta will officially settle at Zhangjiang Science City in Shanghai. The headquarters will have a construction area of more than 13,000 square meters and is expected to start its operation in the fourth quarter of this year.
