On May 11th, as a main manufacturer of large aircraft engines in China, AECC Commercial Aircraft Engine Co.,Ltd. held 2018 Supplier Conference at Shanghai Lingang New City. Huang Ou, Vice Chairman of Shanghai Municipal Commission of Economy and Informatization,was present. More than 200 representatives from 100 suppliers at home and abroad attended the event.
Mr. Huang thanked to the suppliers for their concern and support for the development of Shanghai aero engine industry. He introduced that in order to better follow the national strategy, shape the strategic advantage of "Made in Shanghai", and further improve Shanghai industry chain system of aviation manufacturing, the Commission has formulated and issued the three-year action plan for the construction of the Shanghai aviation manufacturing chain. It aims to make substantial progress in three years:the capacity of the main manufacturers is constantly enhanced, the industrial agglomeration effect is highlighted, and the platform construction has made a breakthrough. By 2020, the total output value of the aeronautical manufacturing industry should have reached 50 billion yuan.Mr. Huang also pointed out that in the next three years, the development of Shanghai aviation manufacturing industry will be led by major projects, the layout of key links in the upstream and downstream industries will be accelerated. What's more, it is important to focus on improving the localization capability of the industrial chain, as well as the innovation platform to breakthrough bottlenecks.Last but not least, it is necessary to help main manufacturers and their suppliers to conduct airworthiness certification.
AECC organized the distribution of finished product and accessory RFP of CJ1000A project and the signing ceremony of MOU. A total of representatives from 14 suppliers from 5 countries, including the United States, Canada, Germany, UK and Sweden, attended the ceremony, of which 11 suppliers accepted the CJ1000A RFP issued by AECC, and 5 suppliers signed the CJ1000A MOU. The issuance of RFP and the signing of MOU indicate that China commercial aero engine has reached a new stage in international cooperation.
