On the afternoon of April 12th, Zhang Ying, Chief Engineer of Shanghai Municipal Commission of Economy and Informatization, revealed at the press conference of municipal government that there will be new measures in opening and sharing government data, that is,Shanghai will rely on the big data center to further deepen the sharing, opening and integration of government data resources.

In recent years, Shanghai, as a comprehensive pilot area of national big data, focuses on opening and sharing government data resources, finding data value and promoting application synergy. The government data resource catalogue system has now been basically formed, which shaped Shanghai’s government data service network. Nearly 1,600 datasets in 12 fields have been opened to the public.

For the next step, Shanghai will rely on the big data center to further deepen the sharing, opening and integration of government data resources.First of all, it is important to promote the application of cross-sector data resource sharing, achieve full docking with the national platform, and finally improve the decision-making and service level of the "intelligent government". Second, it is advisable to carry out the national pilot task and improve the open mechanism of public data.As one of the five pilot cities in opening public information resources, Shanghai should actively promote the open mechanism of classification, and further improve the function of theplatform to meet the data use requirements of different subjects.Third, it is wise to actively explore data fusion and collaborative innovation. Last but not least, it is a must to encourage the opening of social data and industry data, focus on education, transportation, environment and commerce, and promote the innovation and application of government and enterprise data, as well as cultivate a batch of innovative enterprises.
