On the morning of April 10th, Liu Ping, Vice Chairman of Shanghai Municipal Commission of Economy and Informatization and Deputy Director of Shanghai Municipal Investment Promotion Office, attended the series of activities of Invest Shanghai 2024 and the centralized signing of industrial projects in Baoshan District and delivered a speech. Wang Nai, Head of Baoshan District, and other leaders were present.
Mr. Liu pointed out that in recent years, Baoshan has accelerated industrial development and regional transformation around the strategic positioning of "main position, main area and model area", and has achieved remarkable results. He put forward three suggestions on how to do a good job in attracting investment in the next step: Fully implement the new industrialization strategy, give full play to the role of the coordination and linkage mechanism of key characteristic industries in the city, and accelerate the attraction and layout of leading enterprises, chain owner enterprises, and ecological enterprises around subdivided tracks such as cruise operations, synthetic biology, and green supply chains; concentrate on creating a new carrier for industrial development, adhere to the concept of industry-city integration and “industry first”, improve the development level of Wusong, Nanda, Binjiang and the five characteristic industrial parks, continuously expand new "smart manufacturing space", and accelerate the introduction of key industries and innovative projects; and strengthen the linkage between investment promotion and key enterprise service package mechanisms, introduce more policies of application exemption, direct access and fast enjoyment, accelerate the whole process of project signing, implementation, transformation, and production, and speed up the attraction and implementation of leading enterprises and high-growth enterprises.
A total of 26 key industrial projects were signed during this event, with a total investment of over RMB6 billion. The signed projects involved green low-carbon, biomedicine and synthetic biology, robotics and intelligent manufacturing industries. At the event, Baoshan District also released the "Baoshan District Platform Economy High-quality Development Action Plan (2024-2026)".
