On December 13th, sponsored by the Big Data Cooperation Center of China-Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO) and hosted by China Information and Communication Research Institute, the "SCO Tree" Computational Power Technology Seminar was held in Shanghai. Zhang Hongtao, Vice Chairman of Shanghai Municipal Commission of Economy and Informatization, attended and delivered a speech. Zhang Ming, Secretary-General of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization, delivered a video speech. Zheng Kai, Second-level Inspector of the International Cooperation Department of the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology, Wang Zhiqin, Vice President of China Information and Communication Research Institute, and Dai Bin, Deputy Director of Shanghai Municipal Communications Administration were present and delivered speeches.

In his speech, Mr. Zhang pointed out that Shanghai will take the initiative to explore the digital potential in various fields and promote the deep integration of digital economy and real economy. To this end, Shanghai will do a good job in three aspects. First, take innovation as the guide and drive technological development. Explore new computing technologies, promote diversified innovation, promote industrial chain upgrading, and build a sustainable industrial ecosystem. Second, take demand as the cornerstone and strengthen standard support. Dig deep into the market demand, better adjust and optimize the research and development and application direction of computing power technology, formulate and improve the technical standards of computing power, and help the large-scale application and industrialization of computing power resources. And third, take communication as a link to promote industrial integration. Through close exchanges and cooperation between scientific research institutions and related enterprises, we will promote technological innovation and application by means of academic conferences and technical exchange activities, expand the integration of computing power industries, and form a long-term, stable and win-win industrial ecosystem.

This year’s "SCO Tree" Computational Power Technology Training was held in Shanghai from December 10th to 16th, with nearly 30 representatives from many countries participating. In order to further deepen the exchanges and cooperation among SCO countries in the field of computing power technology, the “SCO Tree” Computing Power Technology Seminar was specially held.
