Mr. Tang said that automobiles are the first pillar of Shanghai's manufacturing industry, and the development of new energy vehicles, as an important starting point for Shanghai to further promote new industrialization, has become the most essential component of the "2+(3+6)+(4+5)" modern industrial system, and the industrial development has achieved good results. The industrial scale has grown rapidly. From January to October this year, the output of new energy vehicles has exceeded 1 million, and a total of 1.27 million new energy vehicles have been sold, ranking first in global cities. The key links of the industrial chain have been fully laid out, and popular models such as Zhiji LS6 and Tesla Model 3 Remodeled have been launched. The first-generation semi-solid battery of SAIC Qingtao is undergoing loading test. The innovative application has achieved remarkable results, and the first innovative application regulations for driverless intelligent networked vehicles in China have been introduced. 1,800 kilometers of test roads have been opened, and the cumulative service of intelligent rental manned trips has exceeded 400,000 passengers. The intelligent heavy trucks in Yangshan Port have completed the transportation of 200,000 containers.
At the event, the launching ceremony of Smart Car Eco-city in Lingang New Area and the signing ceremony of major automotive electronics and software projects in Lingang New Area were successfully held, providing strong support for the "intelligent" development of Lingang’s automobile industry in the future.
