The first batch of road test licenses for driverless intelligent networked vehicles in China were officially issued

 On June 8th, the launching conference of the Intelligent Networked Automobile Innovation Leading Zone at Lingang New Area was held in Lingang Center. Chen Jinshan, Member of the Standing Committee of CPC Shanghai Municipal Committee, Secretary of the Party Working Committee and Director of the Management Committee of Lingang New Area, Fang Shouen, Secretary of the Party Committee of Tongji University, and Li Keqiang, Academician of the Chinese Academy of Engineering and Chief Scientist of National Intelligent Networked Automobile Innovation Center, attended the event.

At the conference, Tang Wenkan, Vice Chairman of Shanghai Municipal Commission of Economy and Informatization, Ye Xing, Vice Chairman of Shanghai Municipal Transportation Commission, Zhang Yuxue, Head of the Traffic Police Corps of Shanghai Municipal Public Security Bureau, and Tang Hao, Full-time Deputy Director of the Management Committee of Lingang New Area, jointly issued the first batch of road test licenses for driverless intelligent networked vehicles in China for four enterprises, namely Youdao Zhitu, Tucson Future, Saike Intelligent and Yunji Zhixing.

 

In order to seize the development opportunity of intelligent networked automobile industry, Shanghai formulated and promulgated the Regulations on Promoting Innovative Application of Driverless Intelligent Networked Automobile in Pudong New Area of Shanghai, which cleared the institutional obstacles for innovative application of driverless intelligent networked automobile.

 

The Management Committee of Lingang New Area issued the Overall Construction Plan of Intelligent Networked Automobile Innovation Leading Area in Lingang New Area, striving to build Lingang into the first intelligent networked automobile innovation leading area in China in 2025.
