Recently, Shanghai International Summit Forum on IC Industry Development and the Third General Meeting of the Sixth Shanghai IC Industry Association were held at Zhangjiang, Pudong. Fu Xinhua, First-class Inspector of Shanghai Municipal Commission of Economy and Informatization, and Wang Xiaojun, Deputy Party Secretary and Vice Chairman of Pudong New Area CPPCC, attended the event.
Mr. Fu said in his speech that Shanghai actively implements General Secretary Xi Jinping's requirements for building a world-class industrial cluster of integrated circuits, biomedicine and artificial intelligence, gathers various industrial innovation elements, introduces major projects, key enterprises and leading talents, and becomes a highland for the development of domestic semiconductor industry. In 2022, the size of Shanghai's integrated circuit industry continued to maintain double-digit growth, ranking first in China in terms of design, manufacturing, equipment and materials.
According to reports, the event attracted nearly 1,000 people from the industry, and released the Research Report on the Development of Shanghai’s Integrated Circuit Industry in 2023. On the afternoon of the same day, three sub-forums were held, namely Chiplet Technology and Industrial Development, Supply Chain Security Development and Industrial Investment and Financing.
