Launching Ceremony of Advanced Materials Innovation Alliance for Large Aircraft Successfully Held

On the afternoon of June 10th, the Launching Ceremony of Advanced Materials Innovation Alliance for Large Aircraft was successfully held at COMAC’s General Assembly Base at Pudong. Tian Yulong, Chief Engineer of the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology, attended the ceremony and delivered a speech. Xu Chunrong, First-Class Inspector of the Second Division of Equipment Industry of the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology, and Wu Jincheng, Chairman of Shanghai Municipal Commission of Economy and Informatization, attended the event. He Dongfeng, Chairman of COMAC, Zhang Qingjie, Fellow of the Chinese Academy of Sciences, Huang Boyun and Lin Zhongqin, Fellows of the Chinese Academy of Engineering and other experts in the field of materials were present.

 

The Advanced Materials Innovation Alliance for Large Aircraft is jointly established by COMAC, the State Key Laboratory of Material Forming and Die Technology and other 21 State Key Laboratories, as well as key enterprises and institutions in the industry. The Innovation Alliance is guided by the needs of the large aircraft industry, promotes independent R&D of advanced materials for large aircraft, strengthens the foundation, fills in the gap, cultivates China's competitive advantages in the field of aviation materials, and builds a scientific and technological innovation platform for advanced materials for large aircraft with world influence.
