Keeping Pace with the Times: "Best Made in Shanghai" 2021 was officially launched

In the new era of the great rejuvenation of China, coinciding with the new timing of the first year of the 14th Five-Year Plan, Shanghai implemented the national "double circulation" strategy and included fashion consumer goods as one of the key industries in the five-year development plan for the first time. To stimulate the new fashion in Shanghai, we ushered in the "Best Made in Shanghai" 2021 activities with the theme of "Keeping Pace with the Times".

 

 

On the afternoon of May 30th, the centralized release ceremony of "Best Made in Shanghai" 2021 was held. Wu Qing, Member of the Standing Committee of CPC Shanghai Municipal Committee and Deputy Mayor of Shanghai Municipal Government, Chen Mingbo, Deputy Secretary-General of Shanghai Municipal Government, Shen Jun, Secretary of CPC Shanghai Municipal Working Committee of Economy and Informatization, Wu Jincheng, Chairman of Shanghai Municipal Commission of Economy and Informatization, Gu Jun, Director of Shanghai Municipal Commerce Commission, Zhu Ming, Deputy Director of Shanghai Municipal Market Supervision Bureau, Wang Lan, Secretary of CPC Changning District Committee, and Zhang Wei, Acting Governor of Changning District, and representatives of district economic commissions (commerce commissions), relevant industry associations and key enterprises attended the ceremony.

 

 

Shanghai's "Design 100+", "Fashion 100+" and "Brand 100+" are jointly presented to the world for the first time, which indicates that Shanghai's fashion consumer goods industry that have brought us many beautiful memories will enter a new development period driven by digitalization, through design empowerment, fashion resources and brand leadership.

 

"Shanghai Design 100+" 2020-2021, focusing on the concept of "empowering industry, lighting up life, serving the city and seeing the future", collected 1,541 design products, events and cases in 2020, far exceeding the previous session, and more design enterprises in Yangtze River Delta, Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei and Pearl River Delta actively applied. There were 920 designers and design teams, covering more than 30 industrial fields, reviewed by 100 experts. It received over 2.45 million online votes from the public, with 15.35 million online hits. 287 works were shortlisted, with the realized sales of RMB25.91 billion and the estimated total sales of RMB370.18 billion. After public voting, expert voting and trade voting, a new "Shanghai Design 100+" list was finally produced. Chen Mingbo, Deputy Secretary-General of Shanghai Municipal Government, presented trophies to 10 representative projects of "Shanghai Design 100+". Vice-presidents and deans of design colleges of 10 universities in Shanghai, including Shanghai Jiao Tong University, Tongji University and Donghua University, formed a "Top Academic Group" to present trophies to the selected projects.

 

Meanwhile, under the guidance of Shanghai Municipal Commission of Economy and Informatization and sponsored by Shanghai Fashion Capital Promotion Center, the "Fashion 100+" competition aims to tap the most stylish elements with Shanghai characteristics in Shanghai's fashion industry and commend the leaders who have contributed to Shanghai's "great fashion" image.
