On May 21st, Lingang New Area held "Building Cars at Lingang" - Centralized Signing of Intelligent New Energy Automobile Industry Project at Lingang New Area and Industrial Development Seminar in 2021. Zhu Zhisong, Member of the Standing Committee of CPC Shanghai Municipal Committee, Secretary of the Party Working Committee of Lingang New Area and Executive Deputy Director of the Management Committee, Zhang Jianming, Deputy Chairman of Shanghai Municipal Commission of Economy and Informatization, Wu Xiaohua, Full-time Deputy Director of Lingang Management Committee, and Lu Ming, President of Lingang Group attended the event.
At the signing ceremony, 18 intelligent new energy automobile industry projects including SAIC, Yanfeng Automotive, Guangwei Wanxiang, Dongshan Precision, Magna, Liszt and Shanghai Inspection Center landed at Lingang New Area. The contracted project covers a number of fields, ranging from complete automobiles, automobile chips, automatic driving systems, automobile interiors, body, new materials, inspection and testing, core components of hydrogen-fueled automobiles to precision machining and amounting to the total investment of over RMB16 billion.
