1. Shanghai UAV Industry Association established
On the afternoon of December 2nd, Shanghai Unmanned Aerial Vehicle (UAV) Industry Association was inaugurated at Longhua Airport. Relying on the Association, Shanghai will build a R&D and manufacturing cluster for the UAV industry, encourage UAV enterprises to participate in the construction of Shanghai as a Science and Technology Innovation Center and a Smart City, and serve the precise management of the city.
At present, there are more than 160 UAV enterprises registered in Shanghai, of which more than 40 are manufacturers. In addition, Shanghai is actively applying for a national UAV test area.
Zhu Zhoulong, President of Shanghai UAV Industry Association, revealed that a set of standards for UAV flight training, qualification examination, safe operation, management and operation will be formulated in the next step. Meanwhile, UAV lovers will also be included in the coverage of the Association to reduce the potential safety risks caused by unregistered flights.
2. E-Sports Shanghai Masters opened yesterday
To create a top-notche-sports competition “made in Shanghai”, 2020 E-Sports Shanghai Masters opened on December 3rd at Jing’an Sports Center Stadium. Chen Qun, Vice Mayor of Shanghai Municipal Government, was present.
This year’s event was characterized by multi-game integration, multi-event presentation and multi-platform live broadcast. The five-day event covered five games, including Honor of Kings, Identity V, Brawl Stars, Over watch and War craft III. More than 130 professional players from all over the country took part in the competition, both online and offline.
3. The Online Workshop on Shanghai’s New Policies for Talents in Key Industries Held Successfully
On the afternoon of December 4th,Shanghai Municipal Commission of Economy and Informatization held an online workshop on the new policies for talents in key industries in Shanghai. Nearly 200 human resources leaders from key enterprises in the fields of integrated circuits, biomedicine and artificial intelligence attended the event.
Relevant comrades of the Organization Department of CPC Shanghai Municipal Committee (Shanghai Municipal Talent Office), Shanghai Municipal Human Resources and Social Security Bureau and relevant functions of Shanghai Municipal Commission of Economy and Informatization participated in the workshop, explaining and answering questions on Shanghai’s development strategy of talent leadership in the new era, the settling policies of domestic talents and overseas returnees, and the industrial talent policies.
Shanghai Municipal Commission of Economy and Informatization has always attached importance to the construction of industrial talents, earnestly studied and implemented the spirit of General Secretary Xi Jinping’s important speech at the 30th Anniversary Celebration of Pudong’s development and opening up, strengthened the integration of reform systems, and activated new impetus for high-quality development. In the future, we will continue to carry out various policy communication activities, promote the implementation of various industrial talent policies, and continuously improve the comprehensive services for industrial talents.
4. Shanghai SMEs and Huawei Cloud AI Ecosystem Forum was Held
On the afternoon of December 22nd, Shanghai Enterprise Service Cloud worked with Huawei Technologies Co., Ltd., Huawei Cloud Partner Capability Center, Shanghai Software Park Management Office and Shanghai Computer Software Technology Development Center to hold Shanghai SMEs and Huawei Cloud AI Ecosystem Forum, part of the activities on the integration of large, medium and small enterprises.
The Forum was an important link connecting Huawei’s “Smart World” with AI innovation seedlings of SMEs. During the event, Shanghai SME Development Service Center summarized the results of the integration of large, medium and small enterprises in 2020. Huawei Cloud shared the “open, cooperative and win-win” AI ecosystem strategy and Enterprise Intelligence (EI) solution. Trust Alliance Formation Development Inc., Ltd. Shanghai (CES) and ulucu, both “specialization, refinement, differentiation and innovation” enterprises in Shanghai, shared their innovative AI applications in product traceability and new consumption.
5. The Selected Graduates Academic Seminar of Shanghai Municipal Commission of Economy and Informatization was held
In order to further strengthen the training of Selected Graduates and continuously improve the ability of Selected Graduates to serve the development of the industries, on December 28th, Shanghai Municipal Commission of Economy and Informatization held the fifth Selected Graduates Academic Seminar focusing on the high-quality development of the industries.
The seminar listened the final report of the research results of 2019 Intake Selected Graduates during their training in grass-roots posts. Five Selected Graduates shared a number of industrial hot spots, including “Government-led Industrial Investment Fund and Management Mode”, “Smart Grid Technology Development and Key and Core Technologies”, “Artificial Intelligence Application Scenarios”, “Current Situation and Development Direction of Integrated Circuit Industry” and “Current Situation and Development Suggestions of New Energy Vehicles in Shanghai” and reported their research findings. Relevant industrial offices provided comments and opinions on improving the research findings.
