1.     The live broadcasting of Shanghai Energy Conservation Promotion Week 2020 was successfully held and greeted over a million viewers(7.7)

      On July 4, the live broadcasting of Shanghai Energy Conservation Promotion Week 2020 ended successfully, which is the 30th energy efficiencypromotion week in China, with the theme of "EnergyConservation and Efficiency for Green Waters and Mountains". The promotion week adopted the parallel model of "offline events + online participation", presenting the innovationsof classic information and an online model for widespread participation. Through the form of webcast that is widely accepted by the public, it aimed to introduce green services and products covering all walks of life, including clothing, food, housing and transportation, ranging from new energy vehicles, energy-saving home appliances to green life services. The themes of the two live broadcasts were "Special Showof Energy-saving Products" and "Energy Conservation and Efficiency Show". A professional live broadcast room was set up at Shanghai Science and Energy Conservation Exhibition Hall. The live broadcast was exclusively conducted via Suning Tesco Durian platform. A variety of high-quality, cost-effective and energy-saving products were introduced and revealed the new trend of green life, which attracted more than one million viewers.

 

2. Shanghai-Dalian Cooperation Workshop and the Fourth Joint Conference was held in Shanghai (7.14)

      From July 13th to 14th, Shanghai-Dalian Cooperation Workshop and the Fourth Joint Conference was held in Shanghai.

      This year is the fourth year of the collaboration between Shanghai and Dalian. The two cities will take this event as an opportunity to promote the connection, cooperation and exchanges of major national strategies, including the revitalization of the Northeast and the development of the Yangtze River Economic Belt. Breakthroughs have been achieved in the implementation and production of key projects and the integration and shared development of key industrial parks, in order to turn Shanghai-Dalianalliance into the demonstration and benchmark for the cooperation between Northeast China and East China. During the conference, Dalian revealed the branding of its city image with the theme of "Connecting to Another Sea" on the Bund in Shanghai. In order to facilitate the joint conference, Dalian also released the video of "Light of Dalian", reflecting Dalian's vision of building an "open, innovative and romantic bay city" and showing its characteristics of "modernity, civilization, vitality and fashion".

 

3. 2020 "SAIC Cup" Green Knowledge Contest concluded successfully (7.20)

      Under the guidance of Shanghai Municipal Commission of Economy and Informatization, the GreenKnowledge Contest sponsored by Shanghai Energy Conservation Association has become one of the main activities during Shanghai Energy Conservation Promotion Week and an important measure to implement the theme of the event each year, which closely follows the national energy conservation guidelines and policies, disseminates energy-saving concepts, and popularizes energy-saving knowledge. It has played an important role in raising the awareness of energy conservation among all citizens over 17 sessions. In recent years, the number of participants has remained above 100,000, and the total number of exceeds 4 million, which has been widely responded and welcomed by all sectors of society.

 

4. International companies are optimistic about China's prospect and are passionate in investing in Shanghai, which is evidenced by the collective signing of 54 foreign-funded projects (7.24)

      Although the global economy is slowing down, international companies are optimistic about China and are passionate in for investing in Shanghai. 54 foreign-funded projects were signed in Shanghai yesterday, with a total investment of over US$8 billion. Gong Zheng, Mayor of Shanghai, attended the signing ceremony and Xu Kunlin, Deputy Mayor, delivered a speech. The heads of Boehringer Ingelheim (China) Investment Co., Ltd. and Engie (China) Energy Technology Co., Ltd. spoke as representatives of the contracted projects.

      15 of the projects signed involve new infrastructure, covering network technology, artificial intelligence, biomedicine, integrated circuits and other industries. 10 projects have an investment of over US$100 million, involving business services, energy and finance. 3 projects are originated by Fortune 500 companies.
